Helpful Tips & Reminder

In-App Chat & Key Incident Workflow

  • Feedback is reviewed, but converting feedback into a Key Incident quickly notifies the league
  • Incident chat feature allows officials and the league to have dialogue within the app about the incident.
  • Log in to track your KI resolution within the app
  • Supplement your KI with video

48-Hour Rule

  • Please have your crew complete an assessment within 24-48 hours of each match.
  • Typically, the center referee will submit on behalf of the crew.
  • The system will track each assessment and email reminders until complete

Feedback Fuels Development

All feedback submitted for staff & spectators will be reviewed and may also be discussed with the club, as needed, for development and compliance purposes

Be Detailed

Please be as detailed as possible when leaving feedback so the data can provide context and drive change

Help Drive Change

  • Rating staff & spectators a 3 highlights that they met the baseline "at standard" for that category.
  • Only giving standard ratings without feedback, doesn't drive development. Let's highlight improvement opportunities!

More Than Ratings

  • Rating staff or spectators a 1 or 2 (below standard)? Share concerns or desired behavior.
  • Rating staff or spectators a 5 (highest standard)? Tell us what made them exceptional.

FAQ's

Below are a few questions that officials have asked us:

  • Great question!

Only one person needs to complete the assessment for each match, so typically the center referee will submit on behalf of the crew for each game. Reminders will continue until the assessment has been submitted.

Make sure you huddle up with your crew before submitting to ensure you're including everyone's feedback.

  • We offer two ways to complete an assessment:

1- No login needed! Just click the secure link in your e-mail and begin.

2- Log in, select the "competition surveys" tab, and find all incomplete assessments ready for you to start!

You'll need to log in if:

    • You already submitted the assessment, but realized you need to to submit additional key incidents

    • You want to continue discussions with the league from a previously submitted key incident

Forgot your password? Reset it here.

  • Think of feedback as important information about a team that you'd like documented (positive or constructive). All feedback submitted is being reviewed and used for educational and compliance purposes, but you will not get a response to these within the app.

A key incident is a description of an incident that you'd like the league to review and respond to you about (i.e., safety concern, abuse, etc). When a key incident is submitted to FairWhistle's Key Incident Workflow, the league is alerted. When the league responds to your concern, you'll be alerted via email to log in to view our comments. Once there is a resolution, the incident will be marked "resolved".

  • After answering the questions in each section, the last page of the assessment is a review page where you can make quick edits if you need to adjust any responses or ratings. After confirming everything looks good, you'll select "submit" at the bottom of the screen.

Immediately following a successful submission, you'll receive an email summary of your responses.

If you receive a reminder email days following the match, you have not successfully submitted the assessment.

  • If you want to make changes to an assessment you've already submitted, email us at support@fairwhistle.com, and we can quickly reopen it for you.

  • Please email support@fairwhistle.com and let us know your new email so we can update your FairWhistle account. You'll also need to change the email listed on your profile listed on your assignment platform so future assessments don't go to your old e-mail since we pull contact information for the match directly from the assignment platform your leagues works with. If you're having any issue finding how to do this, ask your assignor or SRA.
